finally! updated cards in the etsy shop
February 18th, 2010 § 0
okay, so we have been slacking on our etsy shop a bit. but our day jobs have been the culprit along with traveling, etc. and i am sad to say that i missed the boat on valentine’s day. however, in my opinion, why do we have to have a special day to tell someone how much we care, right? therefore, i decided to still add my valentine’s cards to the shop, along with another little star card.
with the demise of my printer, i was forced to come up with different ways to make some cute cards. i decided to try out embroidery. i tried to keep them simple and i think they turned out all right. in fact i am kind of hooked on this embroidery idea and will be adding some more styles shortly. i promise.
anyway, head over to our shop and check them out!
New Product: Our Personalized Cards
November 5th, 2009 § 0
One of the things we’re pretty excited about introducing in our shop are the personalized cards. You tell us what name (first or first and last) you’d like on the cards and pick the background pattern for the card. We show you a quick glimpse of what you’ve chosen, and then send off a custom order just for you!
Here’s one our cards with the pinwheel background:

And with the floral green background:

What combo do you like best?
Three New Holiday Cards in our Shop
October 31st, 2009 § 0
It’s with great excitement that we announce the addition of three new holiday cards in our etsy store. Today we added “snowflake,” “polka dot,” and “dreams!” Each is a brand new design, and we’re super pleased how they turned out.
Here’s a preview of each of them:
Hope you’re all having a great Halloween weekend! Be sure and stop by our Etsy shop and have a look!
packaging
October 25th, 2009 § 0
paula and i have spent quite a bit of time discussing how we want the packaging for our cards and other products to look. first impressions have a big influence and when our customers receive their cards, the packaging is the first thing they will see.

there are still a few adjustments to be made, but overall i am pleased with the result. the cards are wrapped in vellum paper and tied with green and white baker’s twine. there is a tiny tag attached to the twine. i wasn’t sure if i wanted to do craft paper or vellum, but in this case in like how you get a sneak peek at what is inside the package. i would like to make some tags that have our logo and etsy address on them.
stay tuned because we will soon have a new round of cards up in the shop.
Holiday Cards in the Making
October 24th, 2009 § 0
I woke up today bound and determined to get some holiday items finished up for our etsy shop. Chrissy and I are under a deadline now, folks! We’ll be putting some of our wares up for auction at a non-profit event next weekend. We are so thrilled to be a part of the fun, with money going to a great cause; a retreat center.
It’ll be a whirlwind weekend, but when I’m done, I’ll be revealing a small line of winter and holiday cards. And, if I can make it happen, there might be another how to as well.
What are you all up to this weekend?
